The Douglas Tailwater Campground is located towards the dam's end, separated by the French Broad River's banks. It features 61 campsites, with 58 having electricity and running water, two meeting ADA criteria, and three rustic tent sites. The campground has two bathhouses with hot showers and flush toilets.
